A seat activates one device for 12 months. Set up the main hub before pairing a tablet, and keep an internet connection available for activation.
Download the correct installer
Use the Faida download page to find the current releases for your device. A desktop, Android tablet, or iPad can hold the workspace as a hub, or join another hub as a paired till.
An iPad hub must stay awake with Faida open. Locking the screen or switching apps can interrupt connected tills. Read Use an iPad as your shop hub before setting it up.
Only install releases published by Faida. The download page shows the current version and release track so you can confirm what is being installed.
Activate the hub
Open the installed app and follow the activation steps. Activation associates the installation with the workspace and records which device holds the seat.
- Sign in with the workspace owner account.
- Choose the business and branch.
- Confirm the device name so it is recognizable later.
- Finish activation and allow the first local dataset to be prepared.
Understand local and cloud seats
A local seat keeps business data on the primary hub and is intended for a single-shop setup. Faida Cloud adds managed backup, cross-device coordination, and owner visibility away from the main machine.
The selling workflow remains local-first in both cases. After activation, the hub can continue making sales during an internet outage.
Move or recover a seat
If you replace the hub device, sign in to the portal to review its seat and recovery options. Cloud workspaces can restore from cloud data. Keep a current backup before retiring the old machine, and contact support if you need help moving.
